Here is my photo of what I was doing at 09-09 BST.
Another brilliant idea from 70sTeen.
This shot was supposed to be me making flapjack, but after gathering all the ingredients together yesterday, I went to our house’s shared kitchen to cook some pies and found the oven had expired – nooooo!!!
So after some thought the photo shows me with a recipe I adapted that doesn’t need cooking.
I present ‘Gitwizard’s Chocolate Gingernut Surprise’
(so called because it will be a surprise if I survive the day, if you hear reports on the news of a man found collapsed near Keith Richard’s house, you’ll know it didn’t work!)
What? Oh yes, I am out on a photo shoot day, walking the ‘Salterns Way‘ which passes Keith’s house in West Wittering.
Provisional recipe below, it will need tweaking. Mmm, just tasted it – too much chocolate!
Please don’t try this at home ‘til I’ve road-tested it…….
What’s our next project then 70s?
Gitwizard’s Chocolate Gingernut Surprise
250g digestive biscuits crushed
125g oats
60g plain chocolate
125g cocoa
100g butter
3 tbsp honey
chopped stem ginger to taste
mixed nuts to taste
Mmm, don’t know what happened there, this post (published at 09-09BST) has ‘eaten’
the previous one! So the first few comments that follow, apply to the disappeared one………

Is there any hope for lappy top?
No idea what you’re reading but I have discovered that if you Google ‘sodomites’ there are some very disturbing opinions out there ….. I knew that of course but it always comes as a shock ……..
I think the laptop’s symptoms (the DVD drive also fell out while I was working on the various smallholdings this Summer) may have something to do with being transported in a bicycle pannier so often!
The book is quite strange and part of a trilogy. I have read two of the author’s other books. Archie will know it.
Archie knows everything …….
Did you see him on Mastermind? Specialist subject – Mermaids
Yummy scrummy!!! Chocolate and GINGERNUTS – well ginger and nuts – salivating here ….. in a nice way of course ……
Because I like to live dangerously, I shall try your recipe even before you tell us your verdict.
(I’m sure it was fracalicious!)
But, umm, do you realize there’s a ghost posting at your blog?
@DP As long as you haven’t brought Nooter, only one salivater allowed in the visiting room please.
@Frac If you must. But it definitely needs more ginger (probably ground) and you need to add water to the mix because it’s too dry….almonds instead of mixed nuts….maybe some glace citrus….
teen loves flapjacks and that recipe is now stored for an adventure but we may have to forego the ginger or ‘ginga’ bit as teen is not keen on that ..love the photo btw
Thank you for the ‘brilliant ‘ and ’70s’ in one sentence… I don’t often see that lol
next project??? I have a lot up my sleeve I will keep you posted and creating
Congrats again for an excellent idea!
If you look at
http://talk.fuelmyblog.co.uk/
proper flapjack recipe is there…..WARNING – Very addictive!!!
I am going to have to get a virtual cookery book file sorted on my PC to store these great addictive recipes … yummmmmeeeee
That sounds like a good idea, Noir has some good ones on her blog too. I’ve got a great one for dipped butter biscuits that are traditional at Christmas time in Germany.

Good recipe, thanx!
Hi Ariana, welcome and thank you. I haven’t got round to refining it yet (might try today). As it is above, it’s too bitter and not ‘gingery’ enough, as soon as I perfect it, Iwill be posting it again.
Good luck with the HTML, I’m trying to learn it too. Have dabbled by changing the source code slightly on my blogs, but there is an awful lot to learn. Then there’s CSS and PHP………
